Perform Sale

Click the ÔSaleÕ icon in the middle of the screen.

 

 

This box will show up below the icons.

 

Customer Sale

You can search using several different fields but mostly likely youÕll want to use customer name. Enter a last name and you can press enter on your keyboard and AlphaPawn will search for the name. You can click the ÔSelectÕ button or just click the ÔNextÕ button on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

 

 

 

The first option is to ÔSell existing item from inventoryÕ. You can select the item three different way; by stock number, by description, and by category. If the item is not in inventory you have two options. Use ÔSell item not in inventoryÕ and enter specifics about the item or click ÔAdd Blank RecordÕ and enter a description.

 

 

After you enter the item you have several options (see below image)

 

The check box ÔWithhold tax information for IRS reporting onlyÕ is for cases where you have to charge sales tax but you will be the one paying it, compared to the option above which includes the sales tax but would reduce the item sub total to 4.64 (in this case) to still make the item a 5.00 item.

 

The tender payment window will come up. Click ÔDoneÕ.

 

A print preview will come up if you donÕt have your printer setting configured to print automatically.

 

 

Quick Sale

Quick sale works just like customer sale except it doesnÕt have a customer tied to it and your limited by the amount of money that will go though this transaction (how ever much that you set that limit to be). Quick sale can be accessed anywhere in the program by
